A proposed training program to enhance the professional competence of social workers in employing artificial intelligence in counseling services

Abstract

The current study aimed to develop a proposed training program to enhance the professional competence of social workers in employing artificial intelligence in counseling services. This study belongs to the type of descriptive studies and used the social survey method using the sample on a sample of (89) social workers in various professional fields in Assiut Governorate, The results of this study found that there is a low level of cognitive competence of social workers in employing artificial intelligence in counseling services, as the overall weighted average of cognitive competence as a whole was (1.64), There is a low level of skill proficiency of social workers in employing artificial intelligence in counseling services, as the general weighted average of the skill proficiency as a whole reached (1.65), and a standard deviation of (0.68), There is a low level of the dimensions of professional competence as a whole for social workers in employing artificial intelligence in counseling services, as the general weighted average of the questionnaire as a whole was (1.65), with a standard deviation of (0.87). This prompted the researcher to develop a proposed training program to enhance the professional competence of social workers in employing artificial intelligence in counseling services.
