Aims and Scope

The Journal seeks to achieve the following goals:

1)- Encouraging scientific research in the field of social work locally and regionally and making use of it in theory and practice.

2)- Linking the theoretical study to the field reality and the study of developmental experiences, to benefit from them in developing the practice and teaching of social work.

3)- Paying attention to strategic and contemporary issues in the developmental society of interest to academics and practitioners in social work.

4)- Developing the fields of practice in social work on scientific grounds through advanced and serious scientific research.

5)- Benefiting from the scientific research results published by the journal in developing social work education programs in Egypt and Arab world, according to the innovative results and contributions that these research add to the scientific material taught by students.

Issues the journal's interests:

The journal focuses on publishing research that includes many vital issues that fall within the scope of social work, such as clinical social work, social counseling, group therapy, working with groups, working with communities, issues of planning and development, and all areas of social work practice. Thus, it focuses on a group of topics, perhaps the most important of which are:

1)- Professional intervention with individuals, families, groups and societies.

2)- Practicing social work in various fields such as disability, education, public health, mental health, community development and others.
