Returns from social protection programmes provided to orphans in shelters

The study aimed to identify the types of social protection programs provided to orphans in shelter institutions, to identify the level of return of social protection programs provided to orphans in shelter institutions, to identify the obstacles and proposals for social protection provided to orphans in shelter institutions. This study belongs to the evaluation studies, and it used the comprehensive social survey method for officials in shelter institutions for orphans, and their number reached (33) individuals, and the comprehensive social survey of orphans, and their number reached (45) individuals. The researcher applied a questionnaire form for officials, and a questionnaire form for orphans. The results of the study reached that the level of social protection programs as determined by orphans in order of programs (educational - social - and finally health), while officials arranged them as programs (social - rehabilitation - and finally health). The study results also proved that the level of dimensions of achieving the return of social protection programs provided to orphans in residential institutions as determined by the orphans were represented in (social relations - achieving social adaptation - and finally improving the health status). Finally, the study results proved that there are fundamental differences statistically significant at the significance level (0.01) between the responses of orphans and officials regarding their determination of the level of social programs, rehabilitation programs, educational programs, and the level of social protection programs provided to orphans in residential institutions as a whole in favor of the officials' responses.
