The Use of Group Activities within the Framework of the Social Group Work Method to Develop Positive Behavior Among Kindergarten Children
Abstract:
This research aims to study the effectiveness of using group activities within the framework of social group work method to develop positive behavior among kindergarten children. This study relied on the experimental method, where the program was applied to a sample of kindergarten children whose ages ranged between (4-6) years.
The program included a set of interactive group activities such as group games, artistic activities, and purposeful motor activities aimed at modifying the negative behaviors of kindergarten children and transforming them into positive behaviors, improving social interaction, equipping children with skills of participation and responsibility, and fostering values of cooperation, discipline, and respect for others.
The results showed statistically significant differences between the pre-test and post- test measurements in favor of the post- test, indicating the effectiveness of the program in developing positive behavior among kindergarten children. The study recommends the necessity of incorporating group activities into kindergarten curricule as an effective educational tool to promote positive behavior.
