Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Applying the social goals model within the framework of group work to stimulate academic motivation among female secondary school students, the importance of this research stems form the pivotal role of the secondary stage in preparing students for higher education, shaping their personalities, and enhancing their academic and social skills.
The study employed a quasi- experimental design using two groups experimental and control to measure the impact of applying the model, the sample consisted of randomly sampling selected female secondary school students (15) By the students of the second year of secondary school, and an academic motivation scale appropriate for this age group was utilized.
The findings revealed statistically significant differences between the pre-and post- test scores of the experimental group in favor of the post- test confirming the effectiveness of the social goals model in enhancing student's academic motivation, the study recommends integration, this model into secondary school programs to faster academic, performance, as well as including it in educational counseling and school- based programs.
