The current study aimed to propose a paradigm for the importance of therapeutic groups in improving the quality of social life from the perspectives of the elderly and their caregivers. The study employed a descriptive methodology, which is appropriate for examining and researching this phenomenon. The researchers conducted the study on a random sample consisting of 106 elderly individuals and 69 caregivers in four elderly care homes in the Kingdom. A questionnaire was developed to collect data from the study sample and to answer its questions in light of previous studies, covering four main areas. The responses of the study sample were very high regarding the four dimensions of the questionnaire, which are: the importance of therapeutic groups in improving the quality of social relationships among the elderly, increasing social participation among the elderly, enhancing perceived social support among the elderly, and the professional requirements for social workers as leaders of therapeutic groups to improve the quality of social life among the elderly. A proposed paradigm was presented on the importance of therapeutic groups in improving the quality of social life for the elderly in care homes.
