Participatory Leadership and Development of Social Responsibility in Civil Development Associations

Abstract

The study aimed to monitor the reality of participatory leadership in development civil society organizations, determine the level of social responsibility development in development civil society organizations, determine the relationship between participatory leadership and the development of social responsibility in development civil society organizations, identify the difficulties they face, and come up with proposed mechanisms from the perspective of the community organization method to activate the contributions of participatory leadership in the development of social responsibility in development civil society organizations. The study relied on the use of the social survey method with the available sample "the sample facilitated by the researcher" of officials in development civil society organizations in Cairo and Giza governorates, numbering (95) individuals, and its results reached the existence of a statistically significant direct relationship at a significance level of (0.01) between participatory leadership and the development of social responsibility in development civil society organizations. The most relevant dimensions of participatory leadership to fostering social responsibility in NGOs were: encouraging teamwork, providing an organizational climate, strengthening information communication systems, supporting participation in decision-making, and finally, delegating authority.
