Building Digital Capabilities and Enhancing the Competitive Advantage of Egyptian Universities in The Era of Artificial Intelligence

The study aimed to monitor the dimensions of building digital capabilities in Egyptian universities in the era of artificial intelligence, represented by the developing of digital infrastructure, the developing of digital knowledge, the developing of digital of skills, and strengthening of digital communication. It also aimed to determine the level of enhancing competitive advantage in Egyptian universities in the era of artificial intelligence, represented by : innovation, efficiency, quality of services, and flexibility. The study concluded in its most important results that the level of building digital capabilities in Egyptian universities in the era of artificial Intelligence as a whole is high. and that the level of enhancing competitive advantage in Egyptian universities in the era of Artificial Intelligence as a whole is high. It also revealed that there are obstacles facing Egyptian universities, represented by the lack of human cadres trained in the use of modern digital technologies, the lack of experts specialized in the field of modern technology, and the weakness of financial allocations at the university to achieve a competitive advantage. Among the most important proposals necessary to overcome these obstacles were the periodic maintenance of technological devices at the university, the use of professional competencies in the field of modern technologies, and an interest in holding specialized digital training courses at the university , and also increasing the university financial allocations to build its digital capacity.
