Abstract:
This study aimed to identify the contributions of scientific research papers in supporting the ethics of social work practice. A descriptive-analytical study by using a comprehensive social survey and content analysis of 38 scientific studies. The results revealed that the degree to which ethical standards for social workers were addressed in the research papers was relatively moderate (54.5), while the coverage of these standards in research papers and theses was relatively weak (25). Research papers and theses primarily contributed to the theoretical reinforcement of professional ethics (50%), with a moderate rating, while the discussion of ethical violations in professional practice was relatively weak (18.4). The study recommended a greater focus on the ethics of professional practice in research papers and theses. Restructuring the research strategy in light of the requirements to support the fundamentals of ethical professional practice.
