Requirements for activating the use of evidence-based practice in case work to achieve integrated care for children at risk

Abstract

The problem of children at risk is a global problem that many human societies suffer from, achieving integrated care for children at risk is an important process through which the maximum possible human needs are satisfied to achieve appropriate components of health and living as well as supporting social relations, case work has been influenced by evidence-based practice as a new model of practice that combines practice and research together to strengthen the scientific knowledge base, however, implementing evidence-based practice in case work represents a challenge as there is a need to equip social workers with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify and evaluate and apply research in practice, in light of the above, the current study aimed to identify the requirements for activating the use of evidence-based practice in case work to achieve integrated care for children at risk, the results of the study showed the most important necessary requirements, which were ranked in descending order as follows: requirements (technical, value, skill, professional, cognitive) , A training program was also reached for social workers working in child units in the governorates of upper egypt.
