Abstract

The social work profession in general and case work in particular seeks to bring about desirable changes in individuals and their social environment in a way that helps them achieve their goals and achieve their social functions. Accordingly, the current study aims to identify the requirements for practicing group case work in alleviating the life pressures of people with motor disabilities by identifying the cognitive, value, skill and technological requirements, and identifying the obstacles to practicing group case work in alleviating those pressures, and identifying the necessary proposals to overcome these obstacles. This study belongs to the descriptive study pattern using the comprehensive social survey method for social specialists working in institutions that work with people with motor disabilities, numbering 7 institutions.
The results of the study showed that the level of requirements for practicing group case work to deal with life pressures of people with motor disabilities was at a high level, the most important of which were cognitive and value requirements, then skill and technology. The study recommended the importance of discussing the life pressures of people with motor disabilities and raising the scientific and practical level of social specialists to deal with such pressures. The study also reached a proposed vision from the perspective of social casework to alleviate the life pressures of people with motor disabilities
