Abstract

Virtual citizenship is one of the protection mechanisms for young people and individuals who use social networking sites, applications and electronic platforms, as a result of global openness, the huge information and technological revolution, and the ease of transferring cultures. Young people are also one of the most important groups using social networking sites, with multiple goals and objectives that they seek to achieve, including providing job opportunities; There has been a great demand for marketing programs and services electronically, which necessitated the existence of dimensions and mechanisms for governing protection of these platforms, to prevent privacy violations, and to provide a safe electronic environment in light of the dimensions of virtual citizenship and educating youth about the requirements of the labor market. The research reached the identification of the dimensions of virtual citizenship for planning to develop youth awareness of the requirements of electronic marketing. The research also reached the existence of a positive, moderate, direct relationship between the dimensions of virtual citizenship and the requirements of electronic marketing, as well as the existence of a positive, moderate, direct relationship between the dimensions of virtual citizenship and the criteria for developing youth awareness of the requirements of electronic marketing at a significance level of (0.05), leading to a future vision for planning to develop youth awareness in social work of the requirements of electronic marketing in light of the dimensions of virtual citizenship.
