The relationship between digital transformation and planning decision-making at the Local level

Abstract

The study aimed to determine the relationship between digital transformation and planning decision-making at the local level by determining the level of digital transformation in executive councils at the local level, as well as the level of planning decision-making at the local level. This study belongs to descriptive studies, and it used the approach of a comprehensive social survey of officials in executive councils. In Cairo Governorate, their number reached(85). The researcher applied a questionnaire to officials, and in the end the results of the study proved that, the level of the dimensions of implementing digital transformation as a whole is high, as it came in the order (digital strategy, infrastructure for digital transformation, technological skills of officials, technological knowledge of officials), The level of planning decision-making variables as a whole is high, as they are in order (choosing the appropriate alternative, sources for obtaining data, and finally defining the goals to be achieved), In the end, the results proved that there is a statistically significant direct relationship at a significant level(0.01) between the dimensions of digital transformation. In addition, making planning decisions at the local level, which indicates the validity of the study hypotheses.
