Knowledge management as a planning approach to enhance the competitive advantage in Egyptian technological universities

Abstract

Technological universities are one of the most important forms of university education in the time of the knowledge economy and the current study seeks to determine the level of use of knowledge management (KM) processes in Egyptian technological universities, monitor the reality of enhancing competitive advantage (CA) in Egyptian technological universities, determine the relationship between the use of (KM) processes and enhancing (CA) in Egyptian technological universities, identify the difficulties facing the use of (KM) processes to enhance (CA) in Egyptian technological universities, identify proposals to activate the use of (KM) processes to enhance (CA) in Egyptian technological universities.
This study belongs to the pattern of descriptive studies, where a questionnaire was applied on (69) employees of Taiba Technological University in Luxor on (KM) as a planning approach to enhance the (CA) in Egyptian technological universities, the results found that there is a direct relationship statistically significant at a moral level (0.01) and (0.05) between the use of (KM) processes and enhancing (CA) in Egyptian technological universities. The study also presented a proposed strategy to enhance the (CA) in Egyptian technological universities by using (KM) processes.the most relevant (KM) processes to enhance the (CA) in Egyptian technological universities were represented in the order: knowledge generation, knowledge diagnosis, knowledge distribution, knowledge storage, and finally the application of knowledge. the study also presented a proposed strategy to enhance the (CA) in Egyptian technological universities by using (KM) processes.
