Abstract

The study aimed to “test the effectiveness of practicing the task-centered model in group work and developing achievement motivation for academically stumbling students,” by testing the following sub-objectives, which are testing the effectiveness of practicing the task- centered model in group work and developing the ambition rate for academically stumbling students, testing the effectiveness of practicing the relationship Between practicing the task- centered model in group work and developing the rate of perseverance for students who are stumbling academically, testing the effectiveness of practicing the task- centered model in group work developing the rate of taking responsibility for students who are stumbling academically. One experimental study, and the study was applied to a sample of (15) male and female academically stumbling students in the third year at the Faculty of Social Work, Aswan University. The results of the study proved that there are statistically significant differences between the average scores of the pre- and post-measurements for the experimental group cases using the task- centered model in group work. Developing achievement motivation for academically stumbling students in favor of the post-measurement at a level of significance (0.01), as the average differences between the two measurements are (8.6), where the calculated (t) value was equal to (16.5), which is greater than the tabulated (t) (2.98) at degrees of freedom ( 14) and a degree of confidence (95%), which confirms the validity of the main and sub-hypotheses of the study.
