Motives of Illegal Immigration for Palestinian University Graduates and the Role of the General Practitioner in Social Work in Raising Awareness of its Risks

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the graduates' motives towards illegal immigration and the identify proposals for the roles of general practitioners in education with their risks. This descriptive study relied on the social survey method, as the researchers used a questionnaire tool to determine the motives of graduates about the risks of illegal immigration, The study was applied to a stratified random sample of (372) graduates of Palestinian universities (Islamic University - Al-Azhar University - Al-Aqsa University – and Al-Quds Open University). The study concluded that the economic motives for illegal immigration were high, with an arithmetic mean of (2.56), followed by political motives at a high rate, and with an arithmetic mean of (2.53), followed by societal motives, which came at a high rate, and with an arithmetic mean of (2.47) ,Psychological motives came at a medium rate, with an arithmetic mean of (2.34), followed by cultural motives coming at a medium rate, with an arithmetic mean of (2.20), and then social motives at a medium rate, with an arithmetic mean of (2.08) , and the identify Proposals for the roles of general practitioners to educate graduates about the dangers of illegal immigration
