The Requirement of Practicing Electronic Social Work in the Context of Digital Transformation from the Point View of Social Workers in the Dhofar Governorate

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the requirements that need to be met in order to implement the practicing electronic social work in the context of digital from the Point View of social workers in the Dhofar Governate . The descriptive-analytical method was used to achieve the objectives of this study, the sample was (113) of social workers from Social Development Directorate and government schools in Dhofar Governorate. The study concluded that there is a statistically significant impact of mechanisms for activating electronic social work practice in the light of digital transformation in the Sultanate of Oman. The study concluded that the overall mean of the sample was (2.83), with a standard deviation of (0.30), which indicates that the level of requirements that must be met to apply electronic practice for social service. The value requirements dimension came in first place, followed by the cognitive requirements dimension, followed by the technical requirements dimension, and finally the skill requirements dimension. The study recommended the necessity of providing more training opportunities for employees and academics to practice electronic social service using the latest technologies, develop their knowledge and skills, motivate them for self-learning, and consider the ethical values of providing this service.
