Abstract

The current study aimed to come up with "A proposed preventive program in group work to alleviating the social factors that lead to marital muteness for newly married couples", through a set of sub-objectives, It is identifying the associated factors (weak marital relations - weak marital communication - weak marital responsibilities - weak problem solving) leading to marital mutism for newly married couples, and determining the role of the social worker in alleviating the social factors leading to marital mutism for newly married couples. The study is considered one of the analytical descriptive studies that relied on the approach of a social survey with a sample of newly married couples who frequent family dispute settlement offices in the family courts in Luxor Governorate. Their number is (367) single, and the results of the study concluded that the level of social factors leading to marital mutism among newly married couples is high. There are significant, statistically significant differences between the responses of husbands and wives regarding their identification of the social factors leading to marital mutism for newly married couples. There are significant, fundamental differences. Statistically between the responses of husbands and wives regarding their determination of the role of the social worker in alleviating the social factors that lead to marital mutism for newly married couples, The study came up with A proposed preventive program in group work to alleviating the social factors that lead to marital muteness for newly married couples.
