Abstract

The current study aims to determine the reality of unrealistic optimism towards Driving cars among university students and to determine the level of Contributions of Social Group Work Techniques (group discussion, seminars, and brainstorming) in Confronting Unrealistic Optimism towards Driving cars among university students , The study sample consisted of first, second, third, and fourth-year students in the Department of Social Sciences at the College of Arts and Applied Sciences, Dhofar University. The study concludes by proposing a set of mechanisms to enhance the Contributions of Social Group Work Techniques in Confronting Unrealistic Optimism towards Driving cars among university students Such as holding group discussion sessions among university students to talk about the dangers of unrealistic optimism in leadership and exchange opinions and experiences, Organizing specialized awareness seminars on traffic safety and the importance of realistic thinking in driving, with students participating in orientation sessions and workshops. Use brainstorming sessions with students to generate new ideas to enhance awareness of the dangers of unrealistic optimism in leadership and suggest effective solutions. Launching awareness campaigns through social media to spread messages about traffic safety and the importance of realistic thinking in driving.
