Building a strategy in community organization to develop green skills among social work students

Abstract

The current study aimed to determine the level of green skills among social work students, identify the difficulties facing social work students when they acquire green skills, and build a strategy in community organization to develop green skills among social work students. It is considered one of the descriptive studies that used the social survey approach with a sample of social work students (fourth year regularity, N= 362), and the social survey was conducted with an intended sample of community organization experts at the Faculty of Social work, Helwan University, (N= 45) academic experts and professional practitioners. The study relied on two tools: a questionnaire for social work students, and a questionnaire for academic experts. The results of the study indicated that the level of green critical thinking skills is (average) in general among social work students, that the level of green scientific skills among social work students is (average) in general, that the level of communication skills with nature among social work students is high in general, that the level of Green practical and technical skills among social work students (average) in general. The level of green cultural and historical understanding skills among social work students is (average) in general. The level of communication skills with others and information skills among social work students in general is high.
