Abstract

The study aimed to identify the difficulties of field training among social work students in the medical field from the point of view of the students and academic supervisors and related to everyone who coordinated: (the student, the academic supervisor, the institutional supervisor, the field training institution), in addition to identifying proposals to alleviate the severity of the field training difficulties among social work students in the medical field (from the point of view of students and academic supervisors). The study is considered one of the descriptive studies, which used the social survey approach through a comprehensive inventory of students who were trained in the medical field and academic supervisors in the social work program in the Department of Social Sciences at the College of Arts and Letters. University of Hail in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The study reached results, the most important of which are: There are difficulties facing field training students in the medical field, and they came in the following order from the students’ point of view: the institution, the academic supervisor, and the institutional supervisor coordinated, then the students coordinated from the point of view of the academic supervisors. They came in the following order: the institution coordinated, then the institutional supervisor coordinated, then the academic supervisor and the students coordinated. A number of proposals were also presented to alleviate these difficulties.
