The study aimed to determine the relationship between the social responsibility of civil society organizations and developing the awareness of local community residents about rationalizing consumption. This study belongs to descriptive studies, and relies on the use of the social survey approach with the available sample of beneficiaries, numbering (189) individuals, as well as the comprehensive social survey approach for officials, numbering (42) individuals. The researcher applied a measurement form for both officials and beneficiaries, and the results of the study proved that the level of societal responsibility of civil society organizations in developing the awareness of the residents of the local community about rationalizing consumption as a whole, as determined by officials, is high. Finally, it was proven that there is a direct, statistically significant, and effective relationship between the societal responsibility of civil society organizations and developing awareness of consumption as a whole, as determined by officials. Residents of the local community rationalize consumption.
