Abstract

Governance is the most efficient method for achieving high-quality services in NGOs, ensuring the rights of citizens, and applying the principles of justice among members of society to ensure the achievement of high levels of human development. Governance in civil society associations is a system of oversight and guidance at the institutional level, which defines responsibilities and relationships with all concerned groups, and clarifies the rules and procedures necessary for making rational decisions related to the association’s work. Governance is a system that clarifies the association’s vision and mission, defines its purpose, supports justice, transparency, and institutional accountability, and enhances credibility in the work environment. Therefore, it was necessary for NGOs to strive towards development and change by encouraging innovation in general and social innovation in particular within these associations, so that they can achieve high quality in the services they provide to beneficiaries. Therefore, the current study focused on determining the requirements for applying governance to achieve social innovation in NGOs. The results of the study concluded that providing training and training courses is one of the requirements for achieving social innovation in associations through developing programs that suit the needs of clients and employees of civil society associations to achieve their goals in a creative and innovative manner.
