Abstract

The study aimed to determine the attitudes of university youth towards the criteria for choosing a life partner through social media. The results of the study revealed: the diversity and multiplicity of reasons that drive young people who are about to get married resort to social media to choose a life partner; The results also showed that the level of criteria for choosing a preferred life partner among young people about to get married through social media from the point of view of the (study sample) as a whole is at the average level, and the results also revealed that there are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of male and female university youth (sample The study) regarding criteria for selecting a preferred life partner among young people who are about to get married through social media in favor of females, and there are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of university youth in rural and urban areas with regard to criteria for selecting a preferred life partner among young people about to get married through the means of communication. Social work in favor of urbanization, and reaching indicators from the perspective of the general practice of social service to enhance the attitudes of university youth towards criteria for choosing a life partner through social media.
