Abstract

Youth represents a human resource that we consider as a great energy that can be invested in all areas of development and the labor market, and education is considered one of the most important social systems of society that contributes to the preparation of trained manpower, and the greatest role lies with educational institutions since the student spends most of his life in them, and then highlights the importance of the need for units of a strategic nature in the university "Career Development Center" in providing graduates with the necessary knowledge and skills with the labor market, as the current study aimed to test the effectiveness of the role of units of a strategic nature in the university in qualifying university youth for the labor market, and the study was applied to a sample Experimental study consisting of (11) respondents from field training students for the third year at the Faculty of Social Work, Helwan University, using the experimental method, and the measurement tool "Scale of Qualifying University Youth for the Labor Market", and reached the effectiveness of the role of the Career Development Center at Helwan University in providing university youth with general skills (self-management skill, team work skill, leadership skill, job search skill), as well as vocational skills (scientific observation skill, recording and report writing skill, facilitation skill, coordination skill, evaluation skill, follow-up skill) for qualifying them for the labor market.
