Abstract

The problem of returning to drug addiction is considered one of the most complex problems facing societies at the present time, given that its harm does not stop only on the one who abuses it, but goes beyond that to harm his family and society. During the individual’s passage of attitudes and experiences during the years of his life, they constitute a prior frame of reference that makes his behavior irrational and indicates the existence of positive effects of drug addiction on the addict, whether health, social or psychological. These models are the relapse prevention model, which seeks to modify the irrational thoughts of the addict by modifying cognitive strategies (related to thinking) and behavioral strategies (related to action). To study the assessment of the return of the occupational intervention and the experimental approach using the pre-post experience using one group and the pre-post measurement for this experimental group. The study sample consisted of (15) individuals The effectiveness of the occupational intervention program of the relapse prevention model from the perspective of generalist practice to modify irrational thoughts leading to relapse into drug addiction.
