Management by Goals as an input in the development of functional performance in elderly care institutions

Abstract

The success of social institutions depends on their ability to achieve their goals. This will only be achieved by achieving development in the human element through the development of job performance of employees and the development of their abilities to achieve the objectives of the institution. Therefore, the problem of the current study is defined in "management by Goals as an input in the development of functional performance in elderly care institutions." This study belongs to the type of descriptive studies. The study relied on the use of the social survey methodology with a sample of (84) workers in elderly care institutions in Cairo Governorate. The study sought to achieve the following objectives: Determining the level of using management by objectives in elderly care institutions. Determining the level of job performance development for workers in elderly care institutions. Identifying the difficulties facing the use of management by objectives in developing the job performance of workers in elderly care institutions. Functional performance of workers in elderly care institutions. The study started from the following main hypothesis: "It is expected that the level of using management by objectives in elderly care institutions will be high." The study found the validity of its main hypothesis.
