The Reality of The Practice of The Culture of Tolerance and Acceptance of Other to The Students of Dhofar University and The Mechanisms of its Promotion
The current study aims to determine the reality of the practice of the culture of tolerance and acceptance of the other among the students of Dhofar University by determining the reality of religious, intellectual, cultural and social tolerance. Among the mechanisms to promote a culture of tolerance and acceptance of the other among students, such as preparing a periodical magazine (monthly or quarterly) entitled Tolerance and Acceptance of the Other, which is published on the university’s website, approving a course entitled: A culture of tolerance and accepting the other to introduce university students to it, and the respect that characterizes the Omani university community. An appreciation of human diversity .Promote recognition and appreciation of the other, whether the other differs in opinion or ijtihad, or the other differs in religion and belief.Emphasizing that correct dialogue and understanding with the other is an essential means of tolerance, as there can be no tolerance without a mechanism that allows for dialogue, understanding and exchange of views. The university and various community institutions in order to promote a culture of tolerance and acceptance of the other among university students.
