Social alienation and its relationship to the level of ambition for university students

Abstract

Social alienation is considered one of the crises facing young people in their relationships with themselves and others on the psychological and political level, and from here many interested people see that social alienation "is a lack of fit with society or a lack of indifference and belonging, and aimed to determine the nature of the relationship between social alienation and the level of ambition among a sample of students University cities, and the concepts of the study were defined in the concept of social alienation and the concept of the level of ambition, this study belongs to the style of descriptive analytical studies, and the study relies on the social survey method in the simple random sample method for students of university campuses at Helwan University, The study found that there is a statistically significant negative correlation between social alienation and ambition for students in university dormitories at a significant level of 0.01, It also found that there are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of male and female university students on the scale of social alienation in favor of males, and there are differences between them on the scale of the level of ambition in favor of females.
