The current research was aimed at determining the nature of the relationship between professional burnout and self-esteem among faculty members, as well as determing the nature of the differences between males and females on the professional burnout scale. It also aimed to determing the nature of the differences between males and females on the self-esteem scale, as well as to determing the relationship between The professional burnout and the average family income, The research community consisted of 83 faculty members from teachers and assistant professors at the Faculty of Social Work at Helwan University. This study belongs to the descriptive studies style, Using the comprehensive social survey methodology for all teachers and assistant professors in the college, the research tools included data sheet, the professional burnout scale, and the self-esteem scale, The results of the study revealed that there is an inverse relationship between professional burnout and self-esteem at a significant level (0.01).It also, there are no statistically significant differences between males and females on the professional burnout scale, There are statistically significant differences between males and females on the self-esteem scale in favor of males at a significant level (0.05), and there is a statistically significant inverse relationship between average of family income and professional of burnout at a significant level (0.05).
