The Mental Image of Group Workers about Children's Residential institutions as an Approach to Developing Their Professional Performance

Abstract

The study aimed to determine the mental image of group workers with groups about residential children's institutions as an approach to developing their professional performance, and this goal is achieved by achieving the following sub-objectives :Determining the mental image of group workers with groups about the nature of their professional roles in residential children's institutions and the nature of the services provided by the institution, as well as the obstacles that prevent the success of their professional role in residential children's institutions . This study belongs to descriptive studies to determine the most important perceptions of a sample of group workers with groups and their mental images related to the reality of residential children’s institutions and based on the method of social survey by sample. The sample size was (105) social workers . The study relied on a questionnaire as its main tool. The results of the study came to answering the questions and reaching general recommendations, including the interest in the continuing education program to raise the skill, knowledge, and value level of community service group workers ,and Distribution of brochures related to professional practice in residential institutions .
