The study aimed to identify the level of self-monitoring among secondary school students, the level of social interaction patterns, to identify the relationship between self-monitoring and patterns of social interaction, and to identify the significance of differences in self-monitoring and patterns of social interaction according to some demographic characteristics of the study sample, and the study use of a non-random sample (snowball) consisting of (572) students, and the researcher used the self-monitoring scale prepared by (Snyder, 1974), Arabization (Safia, 2012), and the aquestionnaire of social interaction patterns prepared by the researcher, The results of the study indicated that the level of self-monitoring was at the medium level, while the patterns of competition and cooperation were at the high level, and the conflict pattern was at the weak level, and its indicated that there was no statistically significant relationship between self-monitoring and the three patterns of social interaction (competition, cooperation and conflict), and the study found that there were statistically significant differences between males and females in self-monitoring in favor of males, as well as between first and second grade students in self-monitoring in favor of first-grade students, and also found that there were statistically significant differences between males and females in the pattern of competition in favor of males, and there were no statistically significant differences in the two types of cooperation and conflict, The study indicated that there were no statistically significant differences between first and second graders in the three patterns of social interaction (competition, cooperation, and conflict).
