Social values and its relationship with university youth's sexual harassment attitudes

Abstract

The current research was aimed at determining the nature of the relationship between social values and the trend towards sexual harassment among The university youth and determining the differences between males and females in harassment trend . It also aimed to determine the relationship between the two study variables of the study and both the income and the place of residence. The research sample consisted of 384 students at Helwan University in the Fourth Division , this study belonging to the pattern of descriptive studies, and depends on comprehensive social survey It is based on the social survey method in a simple random sample, and the research tools included a knowledge data sheet and scale .The trend towards sexual harassment for university youth and social values scale. The results of the study found a statistically significant inverse relationship between social values and the trend towards sexual harassment among university youth, the statistically significant differences between males and females in the trend towards sexual harassment or benefit at 0.01
A significant inverse relationship between social values and family income, positive relationship between social values and the residence place, a significant inverse relationship between the harassment trend and family income a positive relationship between the harassment trend and the residence place.
