Content Analysis of Covid-19 Pandemic studies which published in Egyptian social work journals and suggestions for its development

Abstract

In November 2019, it was reported that one of the strains of the Coronavirus, which was called at that time by the emerging corona virus (COVID-19), was first reported in a seafood market in the Chinese city of Wuhan. The emerging of Coronavirus COVID-19 as the largest global health and social crisis in the twenty-first century which has caused serious and unfortunate social and economic repercussions on the lives of many people around the world, and the suffering of this pandemic for vulnerable population groups such as children, women and people with disabilities, it was necessary to pay attention with the studies and research that concerned to identified of the role of social work in dealing with epidemics issues, so the purpose of this study is to analyze the content of studies and research related to Corona-virus (COVID-19) in social work, which were published in social work journals in Egypt during the period from January 2020 to October 2021. This study was included the descriptive analytical studies which relied on the inductive and deductive approach. Findings indicate that some suggestions that may help in strengthening future research interested in dealing with COVID-19 issues in social work.
