A proposed schematic conception to activate the participation of university youth in volunteer work

Volunteering is one of the tributaries of the development process of any society,The current study aims to activate the participation of university youth in volunteer work, and was applied to a stratified random sample of university youth who study at the faculties of Aswan University in the Sahara It consisted of (207) male and female students, and the study used the sample social survey method, and it used a questionnaire to activate the participation of university youth in volunteer work as the study tool.It was applied during the period from 2/10/2020 to 2/2/2020, and its most important results were: the weak participation of university youth in voluntary work due to their lack of knowledge of its fields, and the presence of several self and environmental obstacles that prevent the participation of university youth, the most important of which are: their lack of knowledge and experience about work. Volunteering and its fields, the negative view of society towards some volunteers, and the lack of media interest in talking about volunteer work,And that the most important proposals to remove these obstacles and activate the participation of university youth in voluntary work are the removal of all obstacles to their participation, providing them with sufficient information and expertise about voluntary work and its fields, and sufficient attention on the part of the media to talk about voluntary work.
