Abstract

The current century has witnessed a remarkable interest in caring for people with disabilities in general and children with Down syndrome in particular, and attention to the category of children with Down syndrome has become a necessity imposed by the nature of contemporary global changes. Even appearing in social events, in addition to the suffering of many mothers of these children from negative feelings and poor social acceptance of these children, so the current study sought to test the effectiveness of rational behavioral therapy in the service of the individual in improving the level of social acceptance of mothers of children with Down syndrome, and this study was conducted On a sample of mothers of children with Down syndrome using the quasi-experimental approach based on the design of one group with multiple measurements before, after and follow-up. People with Down Syndrome and Resignation of Care Responsibilities
