The concept of social capital is widely used because of the implications it has for human life, and therefore social capital is the real wealth that can be employed and invested to achieve development, especially the goals of sustainable development 2030. The measurement of social capital in any society is linked to a set of determinants and indicators that are related to with the culture of the community.
The study aimed to measure the degree of social capital in Kuwaiti society, and to determine the differences in the degree of social capital for heads of families according to the following determinants: (gender, age, marital status, educational status, occupation, and governorate), leading to the planning mechanisms for the development of social capital in Kuwaiti society.
This study is a descriptive study, and it relied on the social survey method of the sample of the heads of families in the Kuwaiti society, and their number is (383) individuals. The study concluded that the first hypothesis was accepted, "The degree of social capital in Kuwaiti society is expected to be medium." While the study rejects the second hypothesis, "there is a statistically significant relationship between some determinants of heads of household and their determination of the degree of social capital in Kuwaiti society."
