The relationship between students' health awareness and their commitment to corona virus prevention measures as an indicator of a social marketing campaign to limit its spread

Abstract

The current study aimed at determining the level of health awareness of the new Coronavirus for students of Helwan University, as well as determining their level of commitment to virus prevention measures, and describing the relationship between students' health awareness and their commitment to measures to prevent Coronavirus to reach a social marketing campaign for measures to prevent Coronavirus at Helwan University. To achieve these goals, the researcher followed the descriptive study pattern using the sample survey method by applying a measurement form to a stratified random sample of 384 students in the faculties of Helwan University, and a questionnaire form was applied to a random sample of 39 social workers in the youth welfare departments of the same colleges.
The results of the study confirmed that the level of health awareness of the new Coronavirus for students is strong, while their commitment to measures to prevent Coronavirus is medium, and also confirmed the existence of a relationship between students' health awareness and their commitment to measures to prevent Coronavirus, and the study reached a social marketing campaign for measures to prevent the Coronavirus emerging at Helwan University.
